Temuka Community & Activities

Temuka is a rural community town that has recently experienced revitalisation and growth with the expansion of the Fonterra Dairy Factory. Also famous for its Temuka Pottery which adorns most tables in New Zealand either knowingly or not, the town boasts sporting and lifestyle opportunities that many larger towns and cities would be  proud of.

Access to waterways and fishing that is second to none is right at hand, while extreme sporting adventures that challenge the young (and young at heart) can be easily reached within a short driving distance.

Being less that two hours drive from Christchurch, access to international travel, international stage acts, Super Rugby and Test Rugby is easy, so while the benefits of a smaller friendlier community can be gained in everyday life, there is no need to miss any of those large special events.
